A little news…
To be honest much of the latest Kos news seems to be about budgets for 2013 and politics…..which would probably take me a couple of weeks to translate so…
The other news….
Last night The Crime Prevention Team took action once again in Kardamena and arrested a 28 year old foreign person for the possession of drugs. The Team have been targeting the area for some time and are getting results. After a house search a quantity of cannabis was also seized. The man will face charges in court.
National newspapers report about an Egyptian street vendor who was attacked in broad daylight in the southern area of Athens. There have been a number of similar attacks recently that have been called ‘racist attacks’. Witnesses are reported to have said that they saw 6 men on 3 motorbikes all wearing black and basically they beat the man to the ground and then sped off at top speed, whilst people were left speechless at the brutality of the attack. The man was taken to hospital in an ambulance. It seems that these attacks are on the rise in Greece.
Tune in to this weeks events coming soon..AND don’t forget it is also St Nicholas Day on Thursday (as well as a table top sale in Kefalos where money is also raised for Animal Rescue Kos).
The Christmas Bazaar will be held in Kos Town this Sunday too….it usually starts from 9am onwards
