Fire near Pyli Pond…

Aegean news reports that a major fire broke out shortly after 3 o’clock in the morning up in the hill from the Pyli pond (again).
This time fortunately the direction of wind meant that the fire was not spread closer to the village.
The fire brigade rushed to the scene with 2 fire engines and they were able to control the fire with help also from municipal workers with diggers to stop the fire spreading across the roads, and fields.
The fire was controlled.
