Honey is being introduced to Kos hotels slowly, and winning over the visitors
Dealing with the production of honey is not easy, mainly because you have to transfer the hives to other islands in harsh conditions to enhance the quality of the product. But the results are rewarding, as the honey of our islands is unique, and cannot be compared to the product that is offered in the local hotels.
This is what honey producer, Dionisis Anthoula, has stated to EPA. His company was featured in the program Neos Agrotis (The new farmer) on Sunday, for ‘Kos morning’ at the exhibition HORACA
‘The honey we produce from this trade is definitely a more expensive product, but the quality that is experienced by our visitors who have tried it must become the priority of our hoteliers’.
‘There is, however, interest and I believe that the collective efforts to promote our local products from the Hotel Association and their associated partners will continue if it is organised and discussed further with hoteliers’ explained Mr Anthoulis.
