News on the renovation of the Museum in Kos
Mr Nick Zaifis spoke recently to Kosnews stating that they ” will try to free some space on the outside of the museum before the holiday season, but probably they will have to leave the scaffolding up at least until September because the reconstruction that has to be done is difficult, especially in the North wing opposite where The National Bank is situated. Mr Nick Zaifis is the head of THE EPA ( service studies & modern monuments).
Mr. Zarifis said that the maintenance and renovation, which began nine and a half months late of this facility was actually going at a good pace. The team has returned after 15 days holiday to start work on the main centre staircase. There is still much work to be done before the project is completed. It is hoped that the estimation of being finished in March 2014 is correct, so far they are within the budget costs given for the project by the NSRF – National Strategic Reference Framework – European Union Funding.
