Happy New Year & January Events in Kos! (So far!!!)

Wednesday 2nd January -Noon – 5pm (Free Entrance) ‘live’ Nativity from the ‘Politistikos Sylogos’ ( cultural committee ) by the airport roundabout. Suitable for all ages and a great family outing.
Wednesday 2nd January – Karaoke Party at Friends.
Thursday 3rd January - 20.00 An evening event for Kos Kindness to raise money to help those in need on the island of Kos. Excellent Food & Live Music (and a drink included in the price) as well as traditional cutting of the Basilopitta. To be held at ΓΙΑΛΑΖΗ in Zipari. Tickets can be bought from Margaritta’s Moda , Praline and Ouranious Tozo (The Children’s Clothes Shop) in Zipari. For Adults it is 10 euro a ticket and children 5 euro. Also direct from Kerry Chorafiou Hebenstreit who has organised this event.
Friday 11th January – 20.30 at The New Fantasia – The Red Cross are holding their annual cutting of the Vasilopita as well as Diner, Live Music and wine. Tickets are 15 euro and the money raised goes to helping the families and individuals that are facing hardship in these difficult times. Saturday 12th January -
The committee ARGO in Kardamena holds an event at 17.30 at the MATAROA Cafe near to the Folklore Museum. Free Entrance. Hot marmarites will be served and the vasilopita will be cut.
Sunday 13th January - First Car Boot Sale (Animal Rescue Kos) to be held at the Farmer’s Market in Kos Town….(for those wishing for a table you will need to contact Susan McGrane). Starts usually from 9am ish till lunchtime.
Wednesday 16th January – First Table Top Sale of 2013 at Ellie’s Carvery in Kardamena (For people wishing to book tables you will need to contact Jo Oxton. Sellers need to be there around 9.9.30am and doors open after that! Refreshments available.
