Major Drug trafficking on the island of Kalymnos….
Citizens of the islands are left shocked at the extent of recent reports of drug trafficking through the islands of Kos and Kalymnos.
Arrests have been made at Kos Airport and at the Port of Kalymnos and a very large amount of the Heroin drug was seized as well as other pills.
A 23 year old was arrested at the Port of Kalymnos carrying 350 grams of heroin.
It has been said that 3 people that had travelled to Kalymnos from Athens had returned, this time with large quantities of drugs.
The Police were waiting at Kos airport where they arrested 3 Greeks (aged 29, 34 and 43) on drug trafficking charges.
During the police investigation it was revealed that one of the accused had drugs hidden inside the large intestine. A total of 8 nylon packages containing 336.5 grams of Heroin! They were taken immediately to Kos Hospital.
Investigations are being carried out by Police but it has been reported by several media sites that the 3 people that were arrested had actually traveled from Athens to Kalymnos, then back to Athens (to buy the drugs) and then they were arrested on their return.
All drugs have been seized and 4 mobile phones also.
Those arrested will appear in court today.
