Changes in the Greek ‘driving license’ system…
It is noted by Aegean news with a link from newsnow.gr that the Greek driving license laws and legislation are going to change. They will be in line with European countries.
It will mean that also the cost of a driving license is set to increase as the learner driver will now need to have a compulsory course of 25 lessons (previously it was 20 in Greece), as well as lessons in theory.
The actual obtaining the license will also cost more it is said as there will be changes in the issuing of the licenses and from which department they will be issued by.
There will be changes such as a driver will be expected to renew their license every 15 years….previously you did not have to renew a license till after 65 years of age in Greece.
Also for those with licenses for larger vehicles such as buses, trucks etc the regulations and subcategories are said to be changing too.
It is NOT stated when these new rules and regulations will come into effect in Greece.
